Eumeneides (Εὐμενίδες, Eumenídes) is a set of two white wines marking the latest addition to the Lytras Estate collection.

The name is Inspired by ancient Greek mythology, the Erinyes, also known as the Furies, were formidable deities of vengeance. In Aeschylus’ iconic tragedy, their evolution from seeking retribution to becoming protectors of justice and unity within Athens led them to be known as the “Eumenides” or “the Kindly Ones.”

Both the name and design approach mirror the remarkable journey of the wine, maturing within the barrel, and thereby shaping its distinct flavour, aroma, and character. To visually convey this evolution, a butterfly motif was incorporated onto the labels, embodying the very concept of metamorphosis.
